Submit FAQ

Q: Can I get a waive?

A: No. We do not offer any waives. Submission fees are critical to the production of the film festival. Without submission fees we would not be able to have a festival. If you don’t have a budget for submission fees, try finding a sponsor for your film. If your film is accepted into the festival, we’d be happy to include their information on your OVFF film bio web page.

Q: Do you prefer the press kit to be delivered electronically through Withoutabox or should we send a physical copy?

A: Electronically through Withoutabox.

Q: What should be physically delivered to you?

A: Just a clearly marked screening copy of the film and your contact information.

Q: Do you accept incomplete or raw films?

A: Yes. As long as the story is complete.

Q: Do you accept films that were not made within the past year?

A: Yes. We do not have a calender limit on our film submissions. We accept film submissions as old as 1960. Our only requirement is that the film has not been shown on television or major movie theaters.Dust off that student film you got an ‘A’ on back in college and send it in!

Q: Can I drop my film off in person at your office?

A: No. The best way to make sure we get your film is to mail it to our PO Box.
